· FHP App will focus on enhancement of the Information Technology (IT) Team and Utility Services Department (USD) business processes and technologies for the FHP program.
· WSSC recommends Fire Hydrants to be painted on a 5-6-year cycle. FHP schedule is created yearly and provided to external contractors.
· Commission utilizes external Contractor who will provide FH painting services for the Commission’s FH assets in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties; there are approximately 44,000 FH assets using FHP app.
· FHP App provides a faster, effective and cost-efficient way for the USD to execute, collect and report FHP information.
